Deleting the blog!

Hey guys time to go!

Having a rest from the wargaming hobby not that I have been doing anything but my passion at the moment is running so that is going to be my new blogging direction. So in the next couple of days I am going to tidy up my blogging account and start a new 'running' blog, all very exciting YAWN!

So it has been fun but it is time to move on.

Plastic fantastic

Time to embrace plastic! Have always been a bit of a wargames snob preferring the heft of metal figures but with spare cash being as tight as ever it is time to go plastic! With many projects on the go (and still no camera!) I am going to paint up some plastics I think Warhammer, cheap off the bay.

I am doing quite a bit of painting at the moment all different stuff basically what ever I fancy at the time!

On the painting table at the moment,

28mm Assyrians (Immortal & Foundry)
28mm Vikings (Crusader, Artizan & Foundry)
28mm WW2 Americans (Artizan)
WH40k Black Templars
Warhammer Fantasy Dark Elves
&
Warhammer Fantasy Goblins

Lots of stuff just doing a little bit now and again, no plan just for the fun of painting! So far have finished 15 Savage Orcs no idea why just fancied painting them!!


Have entered the Stoke Half marathon it is on the 14th and should be fun have never been to Stoke!

Games Workshop

Have lost the plot (IMO)!

Now I like Games Workshop stuff I own a lot of their products but in the latest issue of White Dwarf they are showcasing the new plastic Empire Greatswords and very nice figures they look too!

But!

Now wait for it!

Ready?

They are £25 for ten!! Yes twenty five English pounds for ten yes ten!! Plastic figures! That’s £2.50 each!

If we compare this to other plastic figures on the market we have as follows,

Perry Miniatures brilliant Napoleonic’s at £15 for forty figures that’s 37.5p each.

Victrix Napoleonic’s again fab are £19.95 for sixty figures, 33p each.

Warlord ECW’s are £18.00 for forty which equates to 45p each!

All the above are superb and the figures speak for themselves.

Did enjoy the Standard Bearer article about classic Citadel miniatures and collecting armies using older figures all it needed was a link to the appropriate ebay auction!

In other news, Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday and we are having a heat wave, GREAT (sarcastic!)

Not long now!

Till the Edinburgh marathon and I am sh***ing myself, have done the training so should be fine! Hopefully it is not going to be too hot!

Oh and no wargaming & no painting just running! though plenty of planning projects etc etc.
